Our classes

We run public classes in South Norfolk and Suffolk on a ‘pay what you can afford’ basis. We are also commissioned by health and social care providers to deliver group and one to one sessions to aid recovery and help manage long term health conditions.

Our classes are led by a qualified exercise referral instructor who can advise on which exercise is suitable for a range of long term health conditions. She can help you set, then work with you to meet, your activity goals and improve your fitness.

Chair-based Music and Movement

Our effective chair based music and movement classes focus on improving strength, balance, co-ordination and functional fitness. Wear loose comfortable clothing and flat shoes. Pay what you can afford. Refreshments provided afterwards.

OTAGO Falls Prevention Programme

This internationally recognised programme is exceptionally effective for people who are frail or at risk of falling, who are awaiting or recovering from joint replacement surgery, for people with Parkinson’s, with MS, with peripheral neuropathy, arthritis, plus many other muscular skeletal conditions (MSK).

It consists of 17 functional, challenging and progressive strength and balance exercises which are carried out once a week in a class and twice a week at home over a period of 12 weeks. Participants are given leg weights and booklets to support their progress.

Commissioned Sessions

Our sessions can be adapted for different groups and designed to improve balance, core stability and posture, improve motor skills, increase strength and endurance, improve cardiovascular fitness as well as reducing loneliness and anxiety. The range of exercise in our classes are particularly effective for those recovering from, or awaiting, hip/knee replacements.

Current commissioners include East Suffolk Community Partnership, Active Suffolk and Halesworth Dementia Carers Fund.

Private Sessions

Contact us if you would like to arrange group classes or individual sessions for yourself or if you would like to make a referral for a client/patient.
